How much is a private one-on-one makeup lesson in Los Angeles?
A 2-hour private lesson (one full look) is $400; a 3-hour lesson covering two looks - everyday and evening - is $500. A group 'Beauty Brunch' for 2-4 friends is $800.
Do you teach complete beginners?
Yes. Every lesson is tailored to your level - Kate starts with your skin, features and the products you already own, then builds from there.
What is the difference between a private and a group makeup lesson?
Private lessons are fully one-on-one and personalized to you. The group 'Beauty Brunch' is a relaxed session for 2-4 friends learning together.

Which Los Angeles neighborhoods do you serve for makeup lessons?
Kate's studio is in Playa Vista, and clients come from across the Westside and greater LA - Santa Monica, Culver City, Marina del Rey, Westwood, Venice and Beverly Hills. All private and group lessons take place at the Playa Vista studio.
Do I need to bring my own makeup?
Bring what you own and Kate will show you new ways to use it - and help you avoid wasteful purchases - or learn on her professional kit. A dedicated makeup-shopping session is also available.
How long is a lesson, and is it hands-on?
Two or three hours, and yes - Kate demonstrates each step, then you practice it yourself with her guidance.
Can I give a makeup lesson as a gift?
Yes - gift cards are available for any lesson.
What if I need to reschedule?
I completely understand that plans can change. You are welcome to reschedule your lesson one time with no additional charge. If you need to reschedule a second time, a rebooking fee will apply: $200 for a 2-hour makeup lesson and $300 for a 3-hour makeup lesson. Thank you so much for your understanding. As a small business, when I reserve a date and time for a client, this time is dedicated exclusively to you and I do not accept other bookings for that spot, with the only exception being rare celebrity requests through my agency or major beauty/fashion brand campaign productions. I truly appreciate your respect for the time reserved for your personalized experience.
